Neighborpalooza

People living in poverty are frequently unable to pay for housing, food, childcare, health care, and education. Difficult choices must be made when limited resources cover only some of these necessities. Often it is housing, which absorbs a high proportion of income that must be dropped. If you live in poverty, you are essentially an illness, an accident, or a paycheck away from experiencing homelessness.

Neighborpalooza will offer those experiencing housing instability in the Tri-State area a unique opportunity to receive basic medical screening, prepare themselves for the upcoming winter weather, and receive information about community organizations and resources aimed at improving their quality of life in addition to enjoying a meal and entertainment. This event has the potential to positively impact hundreds of our neighbors by preparing them for the winter months and putting them in a more advantageous position as they move into the new year.
